Sales Trainee - Earthmoving
The Sales Trainee position is designed as an introductory role, focused on a comprehensive training regime to prepare for managing an earthmoving sales territory. The role requires the ability to work independently, albeit under close supervision. Extensive training through practical on-the-job experiences, classroom sessions, and e-learning is vital for continued participation in the Sales Training Program. A Sales Trainee should exhibit initiative, a sense of urgency, a commitment to team collaboration, a passion for customer service, and a talent for devising efficient solutions. Flexibility to relocate anywhere within MTR Heavy Equipment's territory upon the availability of a position is essential. Possession of a valid driver's license is a prerequisite for this role.
- Completion of a foundational web-based sales certification program with a major industry partner
- Participation in selected instructor-led service training courses
- Active involvement in various service departments, encompassing both workshop and field service
- Participation in parts counter operations and warehouse responsibilities
- Developing a thorough understanding of a comprehensive product line from a key industry partner
- Assistance in the collection of overdue invoices
- Monitoring and reporting on product performance and competitive activities
- Providing liaison support between customers, MTR Heavy Equipment, and vendors
- Establishing and nurturing personal working relationships with colleagues
- Negotiating mutually beneficial resolutions to customer grievances
Education
Required
High School or Equivalent or better.
Preferred
Bachelors or better.
Experience
Required
Previous sales and a working knowledge of the earthmoving industry is preferred. Experience using personal computers and basic typing skills are required.
